Southern Fresh, based in Tamahere (just 10 minutes from Hamilton), is a leader in producing top-quality salads, herbs, and baby vegetables. We’re looking for a skilled Machine Operator to join our experienced team. If you have a passion for operating machinery and want a hands-on, challenging role with career growth opportunities, this is the job for you!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operating & maintaining cropping machinery – tractors, planters, sprayers, and more!
• Preparing soil beds & planting/seeding crops – play a key role in food production.
• Applying sprays & fertilisers – help grow healthy, high-quality produce.
• Irrigation & crop monitoring – keeping our crops thriving in all conditions.
• Keeping records updated – using farm management app to track planting, spraying, and maintenance.
• Working in a clean, safe environment – we prioritise health & safety every step of the way.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in cropping or horticulture is a bonus – but we’ll train the right person!
• Tractor driving experience and some mechanical know-how.
• A full, clean driver’s licence.
• Physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all weather.
• Computer literate with good attention to detail.
• A team player with a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to take ownership, fostering growth and continuous improvement!
