We are seeking 2 reliable and experienced Truck Drivers to join our newly created team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations between Cambridge and Auckland while adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a high level of professionalism. These roles will be 40-50 hours per week starting and finishing in Cambridge and will be Monday to Friday with some weekends required. We are seeking truck drivers who are flexible and available to work varying shifts.
This role is responsible for:
- Operating and maintaining a commercial truck in a safe and efficient manner
- Transporting goods and materials to various locations between Cambridge and Auckland
- Loading and unloading cargo using appropriate equipment
- Following all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
- Performing routine maintenance on the truck and report any issues
- Adhering to company policies and procedures
About you:
- Class 4 NZ drivers licence
- Previous experience as a truck driver in NZ
- Clean driving record
- Ability to operate and maintain a commercial truck
- Experience with chiller trucks advantageous
- Must be flexible with working hours
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to self manage and work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical ability to load and unload cargo
