We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 4 Truck Driver to join our freight team. Our drivers are responsible for transporting goods and materials between Cambridge and Auckland while maintaining a high level of professionalism and adhering to all safety regulations.
- Pay: $30 per hour
- Hours: 40–50 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with some weekend work as required
- Location: Start and finish in Tamahere (10 minutes south of Hamilton)
- Flexibility: Ability to work varying shifts is essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a commercial chilled truck in a safe and efficient manner
- Transport goods and materials between Cambridge and Auckland
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Carry out routine truck maintenance and report any issues promptly
About you:
- Class 4 NZ driver’s licence
- Previous truck driving experience in New Zealand
- Clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate and maintain a commercial truck
- Chiller truck experience is an advantage
- Flexible with working hours and shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically capable of loading and unloading cargo
